Various post-processing options are available such as, for example, Color, Polyshot, Vapor Smooth and Tumbling.
3D printed parts come standard in gray. With this finishing method, 3D printed parts are colored black by a dye that penetrates the surface under the influence of high temperature and pressure, without adding additional layer thickness or affecting tolerances.
Max. dimensions: | 160x160x300mm |
Caution with: | Thin, long walls. Due to temperature in the process, parts may warp. |
Available colors: | Black |
Impact on sizing: | Not |
Production time | An extra day of work |
3D printed parts are smoothed by shooting off polybeats with compressed air. This flattens out the peaks and valleys on the surface of the 3D printed parts, resulting in a more even surface quality.
This finish allows less liquid or dirt to soak into the surface, which also makes any cleaning of prints easier.
Max. dimensions: | 160x160x300mm |
Caution with: | Fragile elements. These can break down in the process. |
Impact on sizing: | Not |
Production time | No extra working day |
3D printed parts undergo a surface treatment that produces a quality similar to that of injection-molded products. With 3D printed parts, any porosity is filled and thus completely sealed, resulting in components that are both liquid and gas tight after this treatment.
Max. dimensions: | 160x160x300mm |
Caution with: | Even wall thickness - make sure you have no differences greater than 2mm in this. |
Impact on sizing: | Not |
Production time | Two additional working days |
3D printed parts naturally have a relatively rough surface. By choosing this sliding grinding technique, the high peaks on the surface of the 3D printed parts are smoothed out. This allows the surface roughness to be reduced from Ra 6-8 microns to Ra 2-4 microns.
Max. dimensions: | 160x160x300mm |
Caution with: | Fragile elements. These can break down in the process. |
Production time | Two additional working days |
Impact on sizing: | Sharp edges, corners and details are softened. |
We can help you prepare a fully functional 3D file!
Vormz created a 3D map of an Egyptian temple for us, for a new tour created for people with visual impairments. The floor plan allows our guide to explain how a temple was constructed and how the Egyptians used the rooms. The contact was very pleasant and fast and the end result is even better than we had hoped for! We are extremely happy with it.
Great experiences with Vormz! Fast quotes, fast delivery and quick, clear communication.
We contacted Vormz to print several prototypes. These were printed using the SLA technique. The accuracy and finish of the product were perfect and also had good dimensional accuracy. The communication with Vormz was excellent and he also gave good explanations about the printing method. Our parts were printed in such a way that the highest accuracy could be achieved. Definitely recommended for prototyping!
I was looking for a 3D printing service where I could test some printing techniques for prototyping. Also some individual parts for production work. I found at Vormz a smooth service and plenty of options. Short lines, very nice. Thanks for thinking with me and the fast service!
