Latest 3D printing techniques

At Vormz in Hasselt we offer different 3D printing techniques, each with its own advantages. For precision work, Stereolithography ( SLA ) is ideal because of its high accuracy. For solid objects, Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is a better choice. This involves fusing nylon powder together into robust and solid layers.

For objects in unique colors or materials such as wood, ABS, and bronzefill, Fused Deposition Modeling(FDM) is the best choice. We also offer Ultra FDM for ultra polymer applications that require extreme strength and durability. Still not sure which technique is right for your project? We are ready to advise you!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is 3D printing?

3D printing, also known as Additive Manufacturing, Rapid Prototyping or Rapid Manufacturing, is a manufacturing technique that converts a digital file into a tangible object. The 3D object is built up layer by layer by the 3D printer. Want to know more about it? Feel free to send us a message.

How does 3D printing work?

The basis of a 3D print is the digital design. The 3D design can be created in various 3D design programs, such as Solidworks, Inventor, Fusion 360 and others.

The digital file is then converted to a file called STL. This format can then be loaded into the software to drive the printer.

Eventually a file comes out that the 3D printer can read. Then you can start printing!

Is only plastic used for 3D printing?

No, definitely not. Plastic does represent the most commonly used material for 3D printing. But which 3D material is chosen depends on the requirements of the final product and the technique being used.

For example, in addition to plastic, liquid and materials such as wood and bronzefill are also used in 3D printing. Although the latter two mentioned also contain a small portion of plastic.

Can I 3D print my logo?

3D printing your logo is definitely possible! In fact, we have already done this for several companies. Usually this is requested as part of a product. Then the logo is printed inside the product.

But the logo can also be printed per letter in 3D. Up to 40cm x 40cm in size per letter. Ideal for wall mounting, on the counter or in the shop window. For example, we have printed our own logo. This has been given a place in our shop window and has become 2 meters long in total.

Review stars Vormz

Good company, nice people

Came to them for making 3D sketch and a prototype, to eventually vacuum casting a product.

In the end, 3D printing turned out to be just as good, and in terms of price, it's close.

That's why we now have products 3D printed there to our satisfaction.

We were well helped by Jeroen and Roel and will definitely come back next time!

Fast and fantastic precision

Very nice quality and nice consultation beforehand.

I think the little locomotives turned out super well.

And barely anything to sand or adjust, exactly like the drawing.

Perfect, bravo!
