And that saves you a lot of time and money in the long run. At Vormz we bet on excellent designers and the best machines. That's how we like to bring every 3D printing project to a success. Want to know what we can do for your business? Then don't hesitate to contact us!
You're often full of good business ideas, but actually executing them can be a bit trickier. 3D printing offers a solution at the product level in many cases. You have a lot of design freedom, it works at lightning speed and the design is always easy to modify. Moreover, 3D printing is very sustainable, which ties in with Corporate Social Responsibility.
From 3D designing to 3D scanning and 3D printing, at Vormz we do it all. Usually it involves series production, for example for parts or a ready-made product. From a new design to converting an existing part into a 3D design, with 3D printing in Amsterdam via Vormz it's all part of the options!
Vormz is based in Ede, and for years we have been enthusiastically working on the most beautiful 3D projects in our capital city. From business park Sloterdijk, Abberdaan and De Heining to Schinkel Westpoort, Amstel 3 and Amsterdam Center, businesses know how to find us as a 3D printing service in Amsterdam.
We start with a reconnaissance and, based on that, provide a quote for the project. Ready for execution? Through a 3D drawing or reverse engineering, we proceed. For large quantities, you will first receive a prototype before we start production. That's good to know for sure. Then we deliver the 3D printed products to your company, so that you can immediately continue with your project.
Because we have different types of 3D printers with various techniques, almost any design is within reach. One of our most interesting techniques is Selective Laser Sintering (SLS). With our brand new Fuse 1 printer, we fuse nylon powder layer by layer, making the final product super strong. When you want to choose from many different materials and colors, Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) comes in handy.
For industrial products, we also turn to Ultra FDM, an advanced 3D printing technology based on ultra polymers. Do you need to work with millimeter precision, for example for parts? Then stereolithography ( SLA ) is the most accurate and qualitative technique. We always consider which technique best suits your product.
We make sure each project uses the right material, tailored to the specific requirements of your product. PA12 is an excellent choice for sturdy and dimensionally stable parts that need to withstand engineering loads. For applications requiring flexibility and resilience, TPU 90A is an ideal option. If moisture resistance or extra rigidity is important, materials such as PETG and PETG-CF offer the right solution. We also have several materials that can withstand heat and other challenging conditions, so your product will always meet your requirements and needs.
Don't know what material your company needs? Then we are always happy to think with you about the best choice of material for your project in Amsterdam.
Besides the printing itself, we offer multiple finishing options that give your product the finish it needs. Polyshot provides a smooth surface with a low maintenance and uniform finish. Vapor Smooth Creates a closed surface that approximates the look and feel of injection molding.
And trumbling smooths out sharp edges, giving the product a softer finish. Even for a black finish, we offer finishing options that give your product the desired professional look, perfectly tailored to the needs of je project.
At Vormz, we like to take a personal approach. This with a focus on efficient and smooth project progress. We discuss the feasible deadlines, and in case of urgency we like to go the extra mile. We don't just execute the 3D project, we really think along with you and your company. What are the obstacles and how can we eliminate them? How can we make the 3D product even better match the objective? We will always give you a clear quote, so you can see if it fits the project budget.

What is 3D printing?
3D printing, also known as Additive Manufacturing, Rapid Prototyping or Rapid Manufacturing, is a manufacturing technique that converts a digital file into a tangible object. The 3D object is built up layer by layer by the 3D printer. Want to know more about it? Feel free to send us a message.
How does 3D printing work?
The basis of a 3D print is the digital design. The 3D design can be created in various 3D design programs, such as Solidworks, Inventor, Fusion 360 and others.
The digital file is then converted to a file called STL. This format can then be loaded into the software to drive the printer.
Eventually a file comes out that the 3D printer can read. Then you can start printing!
What 3D printing techniques are available?
At Vormz we use no less than 4 different 3D printing techniques. Each technique has its own advantages. Check out the specifications on:
SLS printing
FDM printing

Is only plastic used for 3D printing?
No, definitely not. Plastic does represent the most commonly used material for 3D printing. But which 3D material is chosen depends on the requirements of the final product and the technique being used.
For example, in addition to plastic, liquid and materials such as wood and bronzefill are also used in 3D printing. Although the latter two mentioned also contain a small portion of plastic.

Can I 3D print my logo?
3D printing your logo is definitely possible! In fact, we have already done this for several companies. Usually this is requested as part of a product. Then the logo is printed inside the product.
But the logo can also be printed per letter in 3D. Up to 40cm x 40cm in size per letter. Ideal for wall mounting, on the counter or in the shop window. For example, we have printed our own logo. This has been given a place in our shop window and has become 2 meters long in total.
What types of businesses are using 3D printing?
3D printing is used and applied by all kinds of companies and organizations.
But it is especially widely used by startups and manufacturing companies. For startups, it is a relatively inexpensive way to produce prototypes or finished products. For manufacturing companies, it is an alternative form of producing the products and their components.

Vormz created a 3D map of an Egyptian temple for us, for a new tour created for people with visual impairments. The floor plan allows our guide to explain how a temple was constructed and how the Egyptians used the rooms. The contact was very pleasant and fast and the end result is even better than we had hoped for! We are extremely happy with it.
Great experiences with Vormz! Fast quotes, fast delivery and quick, clear communication.
We contacted Vormz to print several prototypes. These were printed using the SLA technique. The accuracy and finish of the product were perfect and also had good dimensional accuracy. The communication with Vormz was excellent and he also gave good explanations about the printing method. Our parts were printed in such a way that the highest accuracy could be achieved. Definitely recommended for prototyping!
I was looking for a 3D printing service where I could test some printing techniques for prototyping. Also some individual parts for production work. I found at Vormz a smooth service and plenty of options. Short lines, very nice. Thanks for thinking with me and the fast service!
